Friday, Feb. 24 marks the first spring training game for the Yankees as they take on the Philadelphia Phillies at the newly renovated George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Fla.
As first reported by Erik Boland of Newsday Sports, manager Joe Girardi has named Bryan Mitchell as the starter for the spring opener.
