New York Daily News | Mike Mazzeo: If you took a break from the internet for the last week or so, the Yankees officially retired Derek Jeter’s number yesterday. In a star-studded ceremony, the Yankees unveiled his retired number and a plaque going up in Monument Park for him. Jeter and his family were accompanied by many of Jeter’s former teammates, coaches, and others from his baseball life.
