TORONTO -- When the Yankees missed the playoffs last year, hitting coach Kevin Long paid with his job.
The Yankees made the postseason in 2015. But they went one-and-done, and now Long's replacement, Jeff Pentland, is out, too.
Bullpen coach Gary Tuck, who helped catcher Brian McCann with his throwing, also is out.

The New York Post first reported the departures of the coaches.
Pentland, 69, and assistant Alan Cockrell, who as of now remains on Joe Girardi's staff, oversaw an offense that ranked second in the AL in runs (764) and homers (212) but collapsed in September.
