Prior to Saturday night’s game with the Orioles, the Yankees announced that LHP Jacob Lindgren has been sent down to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. RHP Jose Ramirez has been called up.
Lindgren skyrocketed through the Yankees’ system last year after being drafted out of Mississippi State in June. He made his MLB debut this season against the Kansas City Royals, tossing two innings of scoreless ball. However, his last few outings haven’t been great.
He gave up a game tying, two-run home run against the Nationals in the eighth inning on June 10, a game the Yankees would eventually lose in 11 innings.
