Chad Green, who was sent down to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after a brutal start to the year, had another successful outing Friday, throwing three perfect innings and striking out six after making some mechanical adjustments.
Green could fill a “multi-inning role out of the bullpen,’’ manager Aaron Boone said after the Yankees’ 6-3 win over the Twins in The Bronx.
Tommy Kahnle attributed much of his turnaround this season to a mechanical adjustment he made with his hips at the end of spring training when the team was in Washington for an exhibition game against the Nationals, and now feels he’s close to the form he showed down the stretch with the Yankees in 2017, when he became a key part of the bullpen before a disastrous 2018 season.
