David Ortiz has been a thorn in the Yankees' side for years. As the Red Sox prepare for his departure and filling the shoes of one of the best designated hitters in baseball history, Ortiz's replacement may hurt New York in more than one way.
When the season ends, the Red Sox could look to the free-agent market to sign a DH-type. At the end of 2016, Yankees first baseman (and probable future DH) Mark Teixeira will be available.
