Washington Nationals outfielder and reigning National League Most Valuable Player Bryce Harper will be a free agent in three years, and speculation has already begun about where he'll play the rest of his career when the 2019 season begins and he's just 26 years old.
Because Harper, a left-handed swinging power hitter, appears to only be getting better and Major League Baseball's salaries are only appear to be getting bigger, some of that speculation has involved the Yankees, baseball's richest team.
The possibility is even greater since New York will have money to spend when Harper hits the free agent market as a couple big contracts will come off the books (Alex Rodriguez, CC Sabathia) following the 2017 season.
