NEW YORK — When the Yankees finish their 2015 season, whether that's next Tuesday or early November, and look back at which player was perhaps most valuable to their success, catcher Brian McCann will be at the top of the list.
Not only has he, to this point, caught 133 games and handled a pitching staff that can be considered mercurial at best, he's socked 26 home runs and been a consistent threat in the middle of the Yankees order, one of the biggest reasons they have the second-most runs scored in the league.
