It’s Chanukah, which means your Jewish coworkers and friends will be droning on about lighting candles, eating potato pancakes and those adorable gifts they bought for their nieces and nephews. If you’re lucky, they might even explain what the significance of the holiday actually is, but in case they don’t, I’ve got you covered.

Chanukah is all about celebrating miracles, both past and present (no pun intended), and we’ve had quite a few of those on the NY sports scene in 2015. Of those miraculous events, here are the eight most remarkable – one for each night of the holiday:
