Imprisoned ex-Yankee Chad Curtis says he has $39

From hero to near zero.

Imprisoned former New York Yankees World Series star Chad Curtis told a Michigan judge on Monday that he has "$39 in my personal account" and "9 noodles in my cell," MLive.com reported.

The 46-year-old ex-baseball player told Judge Ellen Carmody that he can't afford to hire an attorney for a civil suit brought against him by four women who say they were sexually assaulted by Curtis when they were high school students.

"I think you may be penny-wise and pound foolish" by not hiring a lawyer, the judge told him, according to MLive.
