YES Network president of production and programming John Filippelli is trying to convince Yankees analyst Ken Singleton to un-retire, sources told The Post.
Singleton, 71, has been involved in Major League Baseball for nearly a half-century since he broke in with the Mets in 1970. Prior to the season, he announced his retirement from broadcasting at the end of this year.
Filippelli is trying to entice Singleton back with a lighter schedule that would cut his games from his current 50 to 25, sources said. It would be potentially heavy on broadcasts in Baltimore and Tampa, where Singleton has homes.
