BOSTON -- No sour grapes.
Yankees slugger Chris Carter said he doesn't have any ill will toward Eric Thames, who replaced him on the Brewers and has become one of baseball's biggest feel-good stories.
"It's not like anywhere where I'm mad at him or the situation," Carter said before Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Red Sox at Fenway Park. "I'm happy for him. He's having success and he's able to do well."
Thames has a league-high 11 homers after joining Milwaukee following a four-year absence from the majors that included a three-season stint in South Korea, where he became a legend for his long bombs.
