From one icon to another.
In a post on the Players' Tribune, asketball great Michael Jordan congratulated Derek Jeter prior to the Yankees retiring his No. 2 and giving him a Monument Park plaque at Yankee Stadium on Sunday Night.
Jordan and Jeter have been friends for years. Jordan was one of the select few who stood behind Jeter as the shortstop spoke to fans in the Bronx prior to his retirement in 2014.
The pair met when they were playing in the Arizona Fall League in 1994.
