Hank Steinbrenner’s work with 2 prospects pays off

Two members of Hank’s Yanks were taken in the MLB draft.

Babylon-native Max Watt and Alex Katz, a St. John’s product, were selected Wednesday by the Red Sox and White Sox, respectively.

Watt, a 6-foot-9 pitcher from Lynn University, was selected in the 22nd round. Katz, a lefty pitcher from Queens, went to the White Sox in the 27th round.

“I can’t stop being proud of these kids with everything they did,’’ Hank Steinbrenner said.

Donald Trump, who has partnered with Hank’s Yanks in a July 6 golf outing at Trump’s new course in The Bronx, said the work with kids reminds him of another Steinbrenner.
