Gleyber Torres has three-run HR erased by controversial overturn

A potential game-breaking, three-run hoemr became a not-so simple fly out for Gleyber Torres.

With one out in the bottom of the third inning, the Yankees shortstop hit a 1-1 pitch from Heath Fillmyer over the wall in left field after a leaping Alex Gordon could not make the catch. It was initially ruled a home run and gave the Yankees a 5-0 lead over the Royals at Yankee Stadium on Saturday afternoon. That cushion didn’t last.

The call was overturned after a video review and Torres was ruled out because of fan interference, which is a judgment call by the umpires.
