NEW YORK -- Gleyber Torres' early success in the big leagues has placed him alongside a legend, as he is now listed as the youngest Yankee to tally a nine-game hitting streak since Mickey Mantle in 1952.
But manager Aaron Boone has no plans to elevate the hot-hitting rookie in the batting order.
"There's always that chance I could move him up, but right now I like him so much in that nine-hole," Boone said. "He becomes like another leadoff hitter down there in a way and gives us such a presence at the bottom of the order.
