Gleyber goes deep to extend hit streak to 9

NEW YORK -- Gleyber Torres continues to swing a hot bat for the Yankees, slugging his third Major League home run in the third inning of Friday's game against the Athletics.

Torres extended his hitting streak to nine games when he took right-hander Kendall Graveman deep into the left-field bullpen, barreling an 0-1 sinker to drive the ball that Statcast™ projected to travel 408 feet. The blast came off Torres' bat at 104.9 mph with a launch angle of 30 degrees, trimming Oakland's early lead to 4-1.
