“It’s tough to sit him. I went with [Brett Gardner, who] has been swinging a little bit better,’’ manager Joe Girardi said. “It was a tough decision to make. We have two more left-handers coming up. I’ll probably sit Gardy one day and [Jacoby Ellsbury] the other day, and then we’ll go from there.’’
