Well, that didn’t take long.
In his first regular season at-bat with the Yankees, Giancarlo Stanton hit a home run. With one out and a runner on first base, Stanton took a 91.7 mph J.A. Happ fastball and sent it to right field. Just like that, the Yankees had a 2 - 0 lead in the first.
The thing with this home run, however, is that it seemed effortless. Stanton flicked his wrists and it went soaring. He got to the ball so quickly, with such easy power, that it was hard to believe.
