Gary Sanchez has decided he will not be competing in the 2017 World Baseball Classic for the Dominican Republic.
Sanchez had originally told Dominican team officials that he would play for them in the WBC this spring but has since decided to forego the tournament and focus all of his efforts with the Yankees in spring training.
