Finally, the Yankees came out on the right side of a battle with David Ortiz — but the DH still provided some fireworks in the Yankees 3-2 win over the Red Sox on Friday in The Bronx.
Andrew Miller got Ortiz looking with the bases loaded in the top of the ninth for the second out of the inning and then retired Hanley Ramirez swinging to end the game.
Ortiz was tossed following his at-bat after arguing with home-plate umpire Ron Kulpa on a 3-1 pitch that was called a strike.
