Masahiro Tanaka's greatest frustration usually involves fielding questions about the health of his fragile elbow.
But after two horrid starts in a row, the Yankees’ $155 million ace is experiencing a completely different type of irritation as he tries to figure out why he has suddenly become so hittable.
“There’s some frustration — which there should be,” pitching coach Larry Rothschild said. “As long as that frustration leads into correction and adjusting what we need to adjust, that’s good. I wouldn’t expect him to take it in stride because it’s been a while since he’s had any struggles, really.
