Former Yankees Strength Coach Is Arrested

Brian McNamee, a former Yankees strength coach who told Congress that he injected pitcher Roger Clemens with steroids more than a dozen times, was arrested Monday morning on Long Island on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

McNamee was arraigned Monday, Nassau County prosecutors said, and additional charges included driving while impaired by drugs and unlicensed driving.

The police said he crashed into another car in Long Beach.

McNamee represented himself at his arraignment. He was released on $2,500 bail.
