Those Bryce Harper rumors just won’t go away.
The Yankees have been closely linked to Manny Machado this offseason, but the possibility of signing Harper still remains an outside possibility.
Count former Mets GM and SiriusXM analyst Jim Duquette among those who think it would be a good idea, despite the Yankees’ crowded outfield.
“I think Harper’s a great fit in New York,” Duquette said on MLB Network Radio. “I would not let any of the other outfielders they have get in the way of acquiring him.”
The Yankees currently have Brett Gardner, Aaron Hicks, Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton for the three outfield spots plus designated hitter.
