NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Fans who traveled to the Bronx to see the Yankees play their season opener were left out in the cold Monday.
The cold rain outside of Yankee Stadium early Monday morning cast a Shakespearean-like quandary over Opening Day — to play or not to play.
Then came the news from the Yankees at 8:31 a.m. via Twitter that the game was postponed until Tuesday afternoon.
Today's Opening Day game is postponed due to inclement weather; will be made up tomorrow, April 5th. Stay tuned for official press release.
