The Houston Astros and right-hander Justin Verlander has agreed to a one-year, $25 million contract with a player option for a second season, sources confirmed to ESPN.
Sounds like he basically shopped his Yankee offer (which was reportedly the same offer, but only $20 million per year) and got an extra $10 million from Houston.
Good for him.
Of course, I hope he does not do well for Houston, but really, good for him.
