Encouraging CC Sabathia takes advantage of absolutely horrific A’s

OAKLAND, Calif. — Place Donald Trump’s moss on top of Hillary Clinton’s mug. That’s how ugly the Athletics looked Friday night.

To ignore the A’s playing miserably in the field and on the mound would be stupid.

They were charged with three errors, center fielder Coco Crisp botched two fly balls that went for hits, first baseman Billy Butler dropped a foul pop, and starter Sonny Gray threw three wild pitches and walked four.

If you want to describe the A’s helping the Yankees to an 8-3 victory in front of an announced crowd 28,235 at Oakland Coliseum, it’s not a stretch.
