Down on Yankees' rotation? James Kaprielian suddenly has 'chance' to crack it in '17

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Yankees right-hander Chad Green did okay Friday in his latest audition to show manager Joe Girardi and pitching coach Larry Rothschild that he's deserving of one of the two open rotation spots.

Luis Cessa, scratched for Green because he was feeling ill Thursday night, will get another opportunity Saturday morning in a simulated guy.

Adam Warren, Luis Severino and Bryan Mitchell are in the five-for-two derby, as well.
