In case you missed it late last night, SS Tyler Wade was promoted from High-A Tampa to Double-A Trenton. Earlier today SS Jorge Mateo has been promoted from Low-A Charleston to High-A Tampa, reports Joel Sherman. The minor league season ends in about five weeks and this is usually when the Yankees promote some of their top guys just so they can get their feet wet at a new level before the end of the year.
