In case you missed it earlier, SS Gleyber Torres needs Tommy John surgery on his left elbow. He hurt it during a play at the plate over the weekend. Sigh. At least it’s not his throwing elbow. Here are some more notes:
- In the wake of the Torres injury, 3B Miguel Andujar has been promoted from Double-A Trenton to Triple-A Scranton, the team announced. Andujar was due for a promotion anyway. He’s been with the Thunder for a year now and has been mashing of late. Also, RHP Domingo Acevedo is back with the RailRiders too.
