Major League Baseball has issued Domingo German an 81-game suspension for violating the Joint MLB-MLBPA Domestic Violence policy, reports Hannah Keyser of Yahoo Sports. The first 18 days were served while on administrative leave, so he will miss 63 games in 2020. German will not appeal the decision. A statement released by the Commissioner's Office notes that the 27-year-old will also make a contribution to a New York-based organization supporting victims of domestic violence.
News of German’s violation emerged on Sept. 19th, 2019. Reports conflicted on the nature of the incident, but all parties addressed the seriousness of the allegations.
