DJ LeMahieu possesses an unshakeability reminiscent of former Yankee (and Met) Curtis Granderson, only with the wide smile replaced by a modest grin.
You could bat Granderson anywhere in the lineup back during his heyday. And the same goes for the new Yankee LeMahieu, who shrugged on Wednesday afternoon and said, “I don’t care [where I hit]. I’ve always kind of moved around. That’s pretty normal.”
Well, maybe it’s time for a new normal.
Given the Yankees’ depleted roster and the hole which they’ve already dug for themselves, they should bat LeMahieu leadoff for the foreseeable future.
