Another day, another Yankees injury scare.
Shortstop Didi Gregorius left Sunday’s game against the Blue Jays at Yankee Stadium after he collided with Toronto first baseman Kendrys Morales in the first inning. Gregorius remained in the game, momentarily, but was relieved by Ronald Torreyes to start the third.
During the Yankees’ six-run first inning, Gregorius sent a right-side bouncer that Toronto second baseman Devon Travis corralled on the outfield grass. Travis spun and threw weakly to first, the ball bouncing before reaching Morales.
