DH days jump-starting Yankees’ Luke Voit

BALTIMORE — Manager Aaron Boone used Luke Voit as the DH on Thursday for a second straight game and went with Kendrys Morales at first in back-to-back games.

“Kind of a way to squeak some days [of rest] for him,’’ Boone said of Voit, who went 2-for-5 with a homer in the Yankees’ 6-5 win over the Orioles on Thursday.

“He is another guy we have obviously leaned on heavily. Feel like back-to-back DH days gets him off his feet a little bit, a sort of a day off,’’ Boone said of Voit, who has played in 48 of the Yankees 49 games.
