In honor of it being the 4 year anniversary of Jeet getting his 3,000th hit, I figured I would relive a blog I wrote that day 4 years ago. Back then Posada and Mariano were still playing. Andy Pettitte was retired for the first time. ARod was a few hundred hits away from 3,000. The Yankees second best pitcher that season was Freddy Garcia. And the best player in the game had just made his major league debut one day earlier.
In reading through this blog again I realized that the 5 moments I picked still stand for Jeter.
