Ex-Yankees captain Derek Jeter already published a statement on his site, The Players' Tribune, remembering legendary catcher and friend Yogi Berra after the 90-year-old passed away last week.
But he took the time on Tuesday to post another, much longer tribute in which he shared memories like this one as the world remembered Berra at his funeral in New Jersey: Jeter was once in a slump, so Berra walked up to his locker and said he had a solution to the problem.
"Try swinging at strikes," Berra said.
"That was Yogi," Jeter wrote.
