NEW YORK -- Yankees reliever Dellin Betances' tremendous bounce-back season has hit a roadblock at a bad time.
Practically unhittable from mid-April until late August, the four-time All-Star has been getting hit around the last couple of weeks and it's costing his ballclub big-time.
Yanks drop more hints for Judge's return as full-time player
It happened again Sunday afternoon at Yankee Stadium when Betances entered in the eighth inning to protect a one-run lead, allowed two runs and the Yankees wound up losing 3-2 to the Toronto Blue Jays.
This loss was the Yanks' 11th in their last 19 games and prevented them from gaining ground on the Oakland Athletics in their tight battle for home-field advantage in the American League Wild Card Game.
