TAMPA — In Dellin Betances’ outing on Wednesday, his fastball was clocked between 88 and 91-mph and set off alarms in the speed-gun fraternity.
Friday night against the Tigers at George M. Steinbrenner Field, Betances’ fastball reached 93-mph but the right-handed Yankees reliever wasn’t putting much stock in the slight progress.
