The legend of Deivi Garcia reached Pennsylvania on Monday night, where the Yankees top pitching prospect made his debut for the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.
Garcia gave up six hits, three runs and a walk while striking out six in five innings against the Columbus Clippers — the International League’s third-ranked offense. He gave up one home run.
The 20-year-old righty hurler showcased his fastball early and often, according to The Times-Tribune in Scranton.
Garcia, who signed with the Yankees out of the Dominican Republic in 2015, has quickly risen through the system.
