Seattle’s Dee Gordon was drilled on the wrist by a pitch from J.A. Happ in the third inning of the Yankees’ 3-1 win over the Mariners at the Stadium on Thursday night and had to leave the game.
After getting X-rays, Gordon said he was not pleased with the location of the pitch. According to ESPN, initial tests were non-conclusive. The Mariners will conduct further testing on Gordon’s wrist Friday, when they open a weekend series at Boston.
“I actually was more pissed off,’’ Gordon said of his reaction to the play. “It’s the second time he threw up and by my head.
