Curry: Yankees acquire Dustin Ackley from Mariners

According to Jack Curry, the Yankees have acquired utility player Dustin Ackley from the Mariners. They’ve been after him for a while, dating back to last year. Ramon Flores and Jose Ramirez are heading to Seattle in the two-for-one trade. Ackley is current in Minnesota and won’t join the Yankees in time for tonight’s game.

More to come, but quick analysis: meh. Depends how they use Ackley. Starting second baseman? Garrett Jones replacement? No surprise the Yankees used their outfield and bullpen surplus to swing a deal though.
