Betances has plenty of baseball ahead of him. But after he makes his millions—he's still a few years until he's a free agent—it's conceivable Betances becomes a fixture on the New York sports scene; he's a native of Brooklyn and loves basketball and football while staying involved with charities.

Bilingual, Betances could also serve well as a pitching coach at just about any level of baseball.

Baseball, as Yankees' manager Joe Girardi likes to say, is a young man's game. Players can last 15 years in the big leagues if they're lucky (or 20 if they're Alex Rodriguez), but most careers don't even hit 10.
