COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. - Mention Alex Rodriguez to some Baseball Hall of Famers and there are, as Lou Brock put it, "mixed emotions."
Brock is put off by Rodriguez's well-documented drug past and recent year-long suspension, but he also said he was "amazed at the fact that, in spite of that, he's still got the eye. He's still got the will to play."
And with Rodriguez moving up multiple milestone lists this season in his comeback, the question of his candidacy for Cooperstown will continue to simmer until he's eligible five years after he retires.
Some of those enshrined are quick to distance themselves from the idea.
