One way or another, the Yankees will get some clarity on their Sonny Gray saga Monday.
The Reds and Yankees have a trade for the pitcher on the table, sources confirmed to The Post’s Dan Martin, but it is reportedly contingent on Gray agreeing to a contract extension in Cincinnati, with the negotiating deadline sometime on Monday, according to MLB Network.
If Gray and the Reds are able to come to terms on a new deal — he currently has just one year left — the trade is expected to be finalized with the Yankees set to receive second-base prospect Shed Long and a compensatory draft pick.
