Clint Frazier’s banishment to the minors will soon come to an end.
Aaron Boone said Wednesday that Frazier will likely be one of the Yankees’ September call-ups, meaning the outfielder will join the Yanks as they try to secure the best record in the majors.
Frazier, 24, hit well with the Yanks this season, slashing .283/.330/.513 with 11 homers, 34 RBIs and 11 doubles. But poor defensive play led to him getting sent down to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in mid-June.
In 57 games with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre entering Wednesday, Frazier was slashing .243/.300/.426 with seven homers and 23 RBIs, but he has made a couple of impressive defensive plays which made the rounds on social media.
