Clint Frazier isn’t just hurting his standing with the Yankees with his shoddy defense, he’s also turning his trade value into practically nothing.
His work in the outfield, which was highlighted on multiple occasions in Sunday’s loss to Boston, has become so bad that the Yankees figure to have a hard time putting him in right in Toronto this week.
And with Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton working their way back from injuries, this could have been a time in which Frazier showed he was capable of playing well enough defensively that the Yankees could use him as a desirable chip to move, perhaps for a starting pitcher, when one of the two sluggers returns.
