New York Yankees third baseman Chase Headley is out of the lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Oakland Athletics due to a sore upper calf.
The severity of the injury is not known up to this point, but word is that the Yankees are hoping Headley will only be out for a few days at most. With the All-Star break beginning this Monday, the Yankees could choose to just rest Headley for their remaining four games before the break. This would allow Headley to get as much rest as he needs before the second half so his sore calf can fully heal.
