Chapman reinstated from disabled list

NEW YORK -- Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman was activated off the disabled list on Wednesday.

Chapman was on the DL since Aug. 22 with left knee tendinitis.

On the Yankees' off-day prior to the Boston series, Chapman threw 22 pitches to Tyler Wade and Kyle Higashioka and said he felt "really good" and that "everything went as expected."

While sidelined, Chapman received two platelet-rich plasma injections in his knee. Prior to landing on the DL, the left-hander owned a 2.11 EA with 31 saves and 84 strikeouts in 50 outings this season.
