Well that was ugly. Everything was going right for the Yankees, until it wasn’t. Just when it seemed like the Yankees were ready to re-energize their faltering season and put the horror show of the last week behind them, they lose a very winnable game and kickoff what could be a very tense three days in the Bronx.
- On the backs of Luke Voit’s and Clint Frazier’s offensive outburst, the Yankees looked to be cruising toward an easy victory over the Mets. Chad Green had other ideas, surrendering three home runs in the top of the sixth to lose the game.
