TORONTO — CC Sabathia is finishing the season in impressive form. Unfortunately for the Yankees, it probably won’t matter.
Sabathia threw seven scoreless innings in a 3-0 loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday, the Yankees’ third straight shutout defeat.
In seven starts since he gave up seven runs to Toronto on Aug. 17, the lefty has a 2.57 ERA, with 34 strikeout and 12 walks — and one victory.
“It’s a long season of ups and downs,” Sabathia said.
